Systematic Dictionary of Corpus Linguistics is an attempt to group, systemize, define and explain the basic English terms in Corpus linguistics and relative fields. The dictionary is made to satisfy the growing interest in Corpus Linguistics. It covers about 100 terms that appear as main entries and 100 as index entries, and the dictionary presents a long list of references to direct the reader to published works in Corpus linguistics concerning particular terminology. Systematic Dictionary of Corpus Linguistics may be used not only as dictionary, but also as an introductory course-book to the new field.
In perspective, we see this work as the first step towards creation of Lithuanian terminological system of Corpus Linguistics. Thus, this dictionary is also an attempt to realize the state of existing terminology in English before undertaking the ambitious task of introducing our own terminology.
